What is your cancellation policy?

Dog walking, cat care, and day visits require a 24-hour notice to guarantee you are not charged for the visit, otherwise the client will incur 100% of the service costs, including fees. Pet to Vet Taxi and Bark to the Park require a 72-hour notice to guarantee you are not charged for the visit. If not, the client will be charged the initial deposit price of the scheduled service. Overnight Pet Sitting requires a (2) week’s notice to guarantee you are not charged for the visit. Cancellations made less than (2) weeks in advance will incur 100% of the total service costs, including fees. No exceptions.

Do you require keys?

Yes, Sailor’s Dog Walking & Pet Care requires two sets of keys before your initial​ consultation. One set will be for your sitter and the other set will be ​kept securely in our lockbox for emergency purposes.

We are open from 8am – 5pm on Mon – Fri.

How many dogs do you walk at any one time?

Since Sailor’s Dog Walking & Pet Care specializes in individualized care, we only walk up to two dogs who are part of the same household at a time.

In an event Sailor’s Dog Walking & Pet Care is​ unable to walk both of your dogs at the same time during the scheduled visit, then we have the right to charge an additional service window plus the extra pet fee due to needing additional time to walk each dog separately.

Are you certified in dog and cat first aid?
Yes, we are certified by American Red Cross in preventative care, CPR, seizures, wounds, vital signs, and breathing & cardiac emergencies.
Do you charge a holiday and weekend fee?

Yes, we charge a $15-holiday non-refundable surcharge that’s applied per visit to any service scheduled on holidays. In addition, we do charge a $10-weekend non-refundable surcharge for services scheduled on Saturdays.

Holidays we are open for services are New Year’s Eve, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Veteran’s Day. We are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Day, Easter, Juneteenth, and Fourth of July.

Do you provide services outside your radius?

Yes within reason. We charge a $10 non-refundable surcharge that is applied if you live outside the 5-mile radius and would like pet services. Please call to inquire as it depends on availability.

Are you insured and bonded?

Yes, we are fully insured and bonded with Pet Sitters Associates.
