Hi! I’m Alexandra—Annapolis native, St. Mary’s of Annapolis graduate, lifelong animal lover, and proud founder of Sailor’s Dog Walking & Pet Care. I started the company in January 2022 after graduating from the University of Maryland with a degree in Communications. My mission was simple: to provide pet parents with exceptional, reliable, trustworthy, and truly one-of-a-kind pet care.

The heart behind the creation of Sailor’s is my dog, Sailor. My family and I adopted him as a puppy in 2013 from the Lancaster, PA SPCA. I still remember the excitement of the day we brought him home! From that moment on, Sailor became not only a cherished member of our family, but my very best friend.

Throughout his life, Sailor faced many challenges, including epilepsy, food allergies, diabetes, and eventually blindness. Together, we navigated every obstacle. He taught me patience, resilience, and the incredible power of unconditional love. Caring for him showed me just how essential attentive routines are and how deeply our pets rely on us. His journey is the reason I understand the importance of detail-oriented care and why I’m so passionate about helping other families feel supported and understood.

I absolutely love what I do. Every day, I’m grateful for the opportunity to meet new pets, learn their unique quirks, and build meaningful connections with their families. At Sailor’s, we treat your pets like our own because they deserve nothing less. We love them as much as you do!

Hello! My name is Dylan, and I’m so excited to now be part of the Sailor’s Dog Walking & Pet Care team! I was born and raised right here in Downtown Annapolis and spent nine years living in Severna Park, so I am very familiar with those areas. For as long as I can remember, animals have been a vital part of my life. Ever since I was young, I’ve had a deep fascination with animals and would spend hours researching different types of wildlife and ecosystems. My love for animals only grew as I got older, which really motivated me to take on this job.

I have two amazing animals at home: Logan and Finn (Finnard Skinnard). Logan is my 16-year-old tuxedo kitty whom I got when I was 11 years old. We grew up together, and I consider him to be my spirit animal. Finny is my 2.5-year-old Duck Tolling Retriever; we got him when he was a puppy, and he is one of the sweetest dogs to ever exist. I deeply love my animals, and they mean the absolute world to me. They bring me so much comfort, have truly made my life so much better, and I can’t imagine my life without them.

I am very nature oriented, and over the last couple of years, I’ve become incredibly passionate about hiking and exploring the outdoors. Being able to spend time with many different pets while walking outside is the perfect combination. I have a deep passion for creativity as well and aspire to become a full-time artist down the road. I consider myself a highly creative person who loves drawing, crafting, and creating stories, and being around animals inspires me even more. Photography is another creative outlet I enjoy, so I love taking photos of pets to capture their unique personalities. I am very detail oriented and observant, which comes in handy when taking care of animals.

I am dedicated to giving the best care to your pets and treating them as if they were my own. All pets deserve to be treated with kindness and love. I look forward to building wonderful bonds with all the lovely critters I meet along the way!
